Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time 12-month position of Assistant Director, Employer Relations/Internships in the department of Career Services.  The Assistant Director is responsible to the Director of Career Services to provide leadership to the Career Services Department and provides overall management of the internship program with a major emphasis on employer relations and employer outreach.  The position works closely with students, employers, faculty, staff, and alumni including the alumni director, professional colleagues, admissions staff and the local community. Prime responsibilities include employer outreach and employer relations, alumni outreach and alumni relations, student assistance in obtaining internships, student preparedness for the application and interview process, internship budget management, career counseling, internship goals and assessment coordination and oversight, and management of internship records and reports.  Travel involved with some evening and some Saturday hours required to provide services to online students, attend admissions and alumni events, present to students, host evening networking events, etc.


Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, business, human resources, leadership, student affairs, behavioral sciences or other related field.  Demonstrated experience working with employers and handling community outreach; corporate relations/sales experience a plus; position requires high energy level, self-motivation, excellent speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills, a persistent work ethic, strong organizational ability, proficiency with technology, and ability to advise and career coach students. Must have the ability to communicate information to all internship stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, employers, parents, and alumni).
