President's Message

Happy fall, PennACE Members! I hope the semester has been going well for everyone. The start of the new semester is often a hectic time in higher ed, so don’t forget to take some time for yourselves and enjoy the beautiful leaves changing and the cooler weather this fall.

This year is off to a great start with the introduction of our PennACE Certificates! Included in your membership, you have free access to one of our professional certifications. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the LGBTQA+ and/or International Student Supporter certificate(s) yet, you’re missing out! They’re incredibly informative – major kudos to the team who worked hard to put them together.

Also, this fall, the PennACE Executive Board will be developing a new strategic plan to keep our organization up-to-date and moving forward. The Board will meet in November to begin work on this new guiding document. We can’t wait to share with everyone what we come up with!

We also have some exciting programming in the works for 2024-2025! Keep your eyes peeled for professional development sessions and opportunities to connect both virtually and in-person with colleagues. Make sure to save the date for our annual PennACE conference – May 20-22, 2025 at Toftrees Resort in State College, PA.

Thanks to everyone who continues to make this organization great by showing up, sharing your expertise, participating in committees, and investing in your professional development. I wish you all the best of luck this academic year and can’t wait to reconnect at our upcoming events!
