Congratulations to our PennACE Award recipients!

We were delighted to formally recognize outstanding colleagues at the 20th Annual PennACE Conference. Dr. John Rindy from Slippery Rock University is the 2022 Donna Dentler Service Award recipient and Lauren Fagan from the University of Pittsburgh is the 2022 Keystone Award recipient. Both awards were presented by Past-President Lesli Somerset Talley from Chatham University. Congratulations to both of these recipients and a huge thank you to each for their contributions to PennACE and to our profession!

The Donna Dentler Service Award is presented by the Executive Board to PennACE members who have provided outstanding service to the association. Any PennACE member may nominate another current or retired PennACE member. Self-nominations are also accepted. Nominations are forwarded to the Executive Board, which will determine award recipients. The Executive Board will solicit nominations each spring; nomination materials will be submitted to the current Past President or a board designated representative by April. Members of the Board may also nominate and consider candidates throughout the year. A selection committee of previous award winners reviews the nominees and presents a recommendation to the Executive Board via the Past President. The Award will be presented publicly at the Annual Conference. The Donna Dentler Service Award was created by PaCCS (Pennsylvania College Career Services Association) in 1991 to recognize the outstanding organizational and professional services of a PaCCS member. The first award was received by Donna Dentler of Messiah College.

The Keystone Award is presented to a PennACE member who has made contributions to and been actively involved in the association within the first five years of membership…a keystone to the future of PennACE! The current executive board selects the winner.

We also had the pleasure of presenting Diana Brush from Clarion University with her 2020 Donna Dentler Service Award at the 20th Annual PennACE Conference. What a champion she has been for PennACE, particularly for the Student of the Year Award program. Congratulations again, Diana!
