Student of the Year (SOTY) Award Application Process Goes Live!

Dear PennACE Membership Community:

It's time to recognize your talented intern & co-op students for the 2019-2020 JoAnne Day Student of the Year Awards! PennACE recognizes the achievements and contributions made by undergraduate interns and co-op students who have completed their undergraduate internship between August 2018 – August 2019 while enrolled at a PennACE member institution. One recipient in each category is recognized and awarded with a plaque and $250.00 check.

Please take note of these important instructions for the Student of the Year (SOTY) application process:

- All materials except the resume are submitted through online forms. - The student must complete an online Application Form and Essay (formerly called student statement). - The resume must be uploaded with the online application. - The two statements of support (one from internship site; one from College/University representative) are online forms. - The technical category is now named STEM. - The internship term (Fall, Spring, Summer) was replaced with "Applicants must have completed their undergraduate internship between August 2018 – August 2019..."

Students can apply for awards in the following categories based on the nature of their internship:

STEM Award: Students must have completed an internship or co-op assignment that is related to (or similar to): engineering, computer science/information technology, sciences or research.

Liberal Arts Award: Students must have completed an internship or co-op assignment that is related to: educational services, social science/service, humanities or human services, government, communication, arts, or entertainment.
